CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES Inspection of Shipments: Customers are responsible to inspect deliveries from EuroSpecDirect promptly. You must notify us within 48 hours of any discrepancies or shortages found. EuroSpecDirect will make every effort to resolve any such discrepancies promptly. In the event of shortages, it is important to verify the condition of the shipping carton to determine whether any such shortages are the responsibility of EuroSpecDirect, or the shipping carrier. It is highly recommended that pictures of the shipping cartons be taken to determine liability. Order Changes: Because our goal is to ship promptly, EuroSpecDirect cannot accept changes on orders after entry. The sole exception is in the case of backorders. Upon notification that products ordered are in backorder status, customers may elect to cancel any items unshipped as of that time. Backorders: EuroSpecDirect will make every possible effort to maintain adequate stock to cover customer requirements. In the event orders for certain items deplete the inventory, EuroSpec will place an immediate priority order on the manufacturing facility. Normal production lead-time is two to three weeks. You may cancel a backorder at any time prior to shipping by contacting EuroSpecDirect. SHIPPING METHODS EuroSpecDirect’s preferred method of shipment is UPS “ground” within the U.S. Our standard rates for shipping and handling are based upon UPS charges. We will attempt to accommodate other customer shipping preferences, however, shipping charges will be adjusted to reflect the specified method. All freight charges will be prepaid and added to customer invoices except for “collect” shipments. Any backordered items will be shipped in the same manner as the original shipment. Shipping and Handling Charges: We calculate shipping charges based upon the actual shipping charges from the selected carrier plus a prorated handling fee to cover boxes and packaging materials. Insurance: Upon shipment from EuroSpecDirect risk of loss transfers to the customer. We can provide insurance at your expense to insure you against lost or damaged shipments. WARRANTY AND RETURNS EuroSpecDirect warranties all products against failure due to defects in workmanship or materials for a period of one year from date of shipment. Any products determined to be defective under warranty will be replaced or repaired at the discretion of EuroSpecDirect.
